Hey guys....

Recently, i have been thinking of getting a car for myself for transport purposes. I have not really done much research but my friend recommended me Toyota Vios. Cause its value for money and has low fuel consumption.

Any recommendations or views from all the "lao Chiaos" out there???

Charlton, Vios is not too bad, but rather what is your budget?

46k - 55K If that's your budget then should hava quite a bit of choices.

Go test drive first, dun commit until u are satisfied

Btw, Korean cars might look inferior to Jap cars, but nowadays for economical means of transport, its not a bad option also.

max 49-50K, you can drive one and also the installment still affordable........imagine buying a car 2-3 years back.......at least 65K-75K.

Maybe go check out a few models first then...Happy hunting and remember monitor the COE.

Vios is okie for its price range and cc i think, a few of my frens oso drive vios and so far so good

oso, they hv a very active Vios forum at http://forum.vogs.net

u can learn quite a bit of info, where to get stuff, join their mega meetup and can bulk purchase wif ppl

a lot of them are Liverpool supporters, so that can't be a bad thing

Hmm....

Seems like u guys quite favor Toyota eh.... With Vios & Altis being the top choices....

In fact, i hav been scouting around and have narrowed my choices to Vios, Altis, Lancer or a Civic. But with budget constraints and the rocketing fuel prices, i am leaning more towards the more value-for-money Vios....

Anyway, one of the dealer called me today mentioning Vios gonna have a facelift come beginning of next year... Guess tat's the one you posted, Thomas....

Based on the cars you mentioned, I believed your budget is around 55K. These are the list of cars that I think your budget could get you:
-> Toyota Vios
-> Kia Picanto
-> Kia Cerato
-> Mit Lancer
-> Hyundai Matrix
-> Hyundai Getz
-> Hyundai Accent
-> Mazda 2
-> Others

There is no best car..just the car suits you best in terms of your needs and budget. Go test drive to find your answer. As COE is down during the last bidding, do expect a price war this coming weekend.

Happy hunting.

Cheers

I thot the exterior looks like a Wira (or some Proton car ) and the interior more like an IST.

Anyway Charlton, if you been to Bangkok you'll see abt 80% of the cabs are Altis... haha
