completely cannot understand the strategy and tactic deployed.
made six changes to the lineup with nando and garcia spearheading a long-ball tactic?

and seems like liverpool players have little desire to win until the final 20 minutes.

credits to the sao paulo, they deserved to win with their good teamwork.

what a depressing weekend... some more Chelsea can win 2-0 at Highbury.

arsenal failed to capitalise on their good momentum in the first 20 minutes, with henry hitting the post and van persie's goal ruled offside.
lauren tried to be too fancy, resulted in chelsea's second goal. with peter cech on top form, arsenal was hardly threatening.

Arsene Wenger is beginning to talk too much.. when he first came to highbury 1st two season, quiet and didn't lash out at opponents, referees so much.. now after losing, blame everyone except own players...

Arsenal need a major engine overhaul.. all the tough players like tony adams, lee dixon, nigel winterburn, viera are gone..

attack - too reliant on thierry henry, while older players like berkamp and pires is past on near expiry date. robin van persie seems to be maturing .. but take time still

defence - backline is too flimsy ... lauren is good going forward, but suspect in defence. Campbell although was a rock in defence couple of seasons ago seem to be aging. Senderos looks like a tank, slow in turning.. saw how robben race past him ... toure is above average, but hardly commanding.. plus point is ashley cole.

midfield - players look good on the passing, but against tough physical opposition, their game plan becomes neutralized and have no other tactics.

they need to buy at least 5-7 players .. starting from a goalie to replace lehman, right back, center back, central defensive midfielder, right wing, left wing ( get rid of reyes.. simply overrated ) another striker.... so many players ... looks like half the team need to be changed.

expecting arsenal to challenge for domestic title only in another 2 seasons..  now the edge is with chelsea & liverpool, manu also having own problems

what i like about benitez is his humbleness.
u hardly hear him putting down opponents or talking about winning the league with 30 more games to go.
after each game, he does his routine PR with the media and go straight into preparing the next fixture.

i cant say the same for wenger and freguson, who still very much enjoy the days of mind games, suffering the consequences of swallowing their own spats when their "psychological warfare" don't work out.

if only these two top managers can just step out of the media limelight for a while and make their players do the talking with their feets, we might get to enjoy a more competitive EPL...

I tink when it comes to cheating, Robben is still not there yet.
He still has a long way to go b4 he can reach the standard of Luis Garcia or Pires.

Think Arsenal need to change Owner first.. get another Rich Russian Maffia and he can accomplish what you are suggesting...(re those major team players overhaul part)

unless thing turns out like what qingfa suggest, i think it will take a while for arsenal to rebuild his team, since all the money are flowing to the new stadium.

The problem is that Man- United , Ars are losing that " fear " factor, teams are giving less respect to the team.

The gunners dont know how to handle phyiscal play and the Devils are blowing hot and cold but i feel that the key factors are the players' confidence level - once Chelski starts losing games, all the teams will be breathing on their neck...

I believe that the players cant turn bad overnight - form is temperory , class is permanent.
