tonight must be biggest upset night thus far in world cup ..

2 heavily favourites - Czech and Italy both failed to win.

the final match could see czech or italy being eliminated ..

it will be a enthralling contest ..

Can't decide which is worst at the moment, watching Brazil or watching England.

brazil isnt playing brazilian style lately. more like playing english football, with aimless crossing and target man tactic.

Spanish daily 20 Minutos claims Nostradamus tipped Spain to win the World Cup. It quotes one of his prophecies as follows: "In the sixth month of 2006 the King of Spain will cross the Pyrenees with his troops. The legions of Beelzebub will battle him in central Europe and suffer doom and destruction. The Holy Grail will then come to Spain." (Press Association)

Should put your money on Spain now... remember those predictions about Liverpool winning the CL because of the Pope, Prince Charles etc?

KELONG !!!

Serbia leads 2-0, then defender gives away a penalty with a very deliberate handball.... ivory coast pulls a goal back to 2-1. Ivory coast then scores a equalizer ....

and then late in 2nd half.. same defender gives away another clear handball and another penalty !!! How can serbia lose 3-2 ? this is ridiculous .. this guy ought to be shot.

IVC and serbia had nothing to play for... might as well earn a few more bucks from bookies.

Why did Argentina keep Messi on the bench? To preserve him for the next World Cup? Grrrrrr...

pekerman was over confident when withdrew all his offensive cards when they led 1-0.
the injury of the goalie came unexpected and used up one substitute meant for messi.

think u got it wrong there, the keeper sub is on top of the 3 subs allowed...

hmm... my understandings tells me that the limit of 3 substitutions comprise of all positions.

until 1996, they were complaining about the constraint of 2 substitutions in the event keeper got injured. thats when they increase the sub limit to 3.

in the event that the all subs are used up and the keeper got injured, an outfield player has to take the keeper's position.

ya.. standard is 3 sub allowed per match regardless of keeper or outfield players for official matches.
