I think most of us didn't quite play as good as we could, but that's not taking anything away from Kelvin's team.

Anyway, dun worry too much about it, it's really just a friendly game, there's always a loser, and it's not something new to us =)

great effort folks. those are collective mistakes which i guess we have to learn it the hard way. credit to the opposition for capitalizing on it.

taking an optimistic view, we aint too far off without those errors and managed the game with minimal substitutions.
this evidently shows that playing on bigger pitch regularly has improved our fitness quite a bit, compared to our last competitive performance.

we should now focus more on improving our composure and coordination.

Steady lar!

Honestly I didn't know the 6 sec rule.

i think u were quite unlucky. Usually i think the referees close one eye with regards to the 6 second rule. I was abit surprised that he actually awarded a free kick for that. I have only seen indirect freekicks awarded for a backpass foul but not for breach of the 6 seconds rule.
By the way, i think there was something both teams can learn from the match. I think both teams committed numerious foul throws. Maybe next time when we train at Bukit Merah, we can watch out for each other for foul throws. The referee actually feedback to me saying that this was the 1st time he actually blew the whistle so many times for foul throws. =)

indeed. we should look at the game positively and try to learn from it, including the ref.

four basic rules of a legitimate throw-in are:
1. both feet on the ground
2. ball should be thrown from behind and over the head
3. both hands must be in a complete circular motion.
4. body must be facing your throwing direction

how you release the ball is not of utmost important, as long as you have the motion right.
i have seen throw-ins allowed for less, even for pro match like EPL, which is why i was quite amazed when the foul throw was awarded against me.

perhaps some ref just wanna justify their presence by blowing for petty fouls.

simon, one of the ref whom we normally hired, would tell us why did he call for the foul so we could learn on the spot.
perhaps this ref could learn from him.

Steady lar!
