Unofficial Bugis Beatles Cup 2010 (7-a-side)
Objective of this trial run
· To familiarize with the organizing and coordinating of this event with large turnout.
· To test run the process of forming 4 evenly balanced team to provide for a competitive challenge.
· Provide a platform for the growing numbers of Bugis Beatles to have a taste of such competitive football in a friendly and fun environment.
Format for unofficial Bugis Beatles Cup (7-a-side)
· 4 teams will be pitting against one another in a round robin, mini league format, before the top 2 teams compete in a play-off final.
· Each team will consists of 10 players (7 aside with 3 substitutes)
· There will be a total of 7 matches played in the span of 2 hours: 6 leagues match + 1 playoff final.
· Each team will play a total of 3 league matches, with each lasting 20 mins, followed by 10 min break.
· The playoff final between the top 2 teams will be 30 min.
· 3 pts will be awarded for a win, 1 pt for draw and 0 for lost.
· If the game ends in a draw for the playoff final after 30 min of play, winner will be decided by penalty kick shootout (3 kicks followed by sudden death)
· Referee’s decision is final and it is the responsibility of the captain of each team to maintain the discipline of the team.
· Player who argues with the referee will initially be given a verbal warning by the ref. If he does it again, the ref will have the right to show him a yellow card.
· Players who was shown the red card will be ejected from the game with immediate effect and will be ban from 1 game.
· Rotating subs are allowed for this tournament and players who have been substituted earlier are allowed back into the game as long as they have received clearance from the referee.
· At any one time, only 7 players from each team max are allowed into the field of play during the game.
· If during the tournament proceeding, any team who is short of players for the game (due to injuries or whatever reasons), are allowed to loan players from another team who is not playing at that moment.
· The loaned player’s priority however lies in representing his designated team thus respective team captain have the right to re-call their loaned players should the need arises during the process of the game.
· Teams are only allowed to loan players if they have less than 7 fit players from their squad to start the game
Registration for the Bugis Beatles Cup
· All registered Bugis Beatles players in Bugis Beatles website are welcome to register for this competition.
· Registration will be closed when a total attendance size of 40 is reached or 1 month before the competition date, whichever is earlier.
· Once registration is close, 4 players will be chosen as the respective team captains.
· A seeded draw will be held in the presence of 4 Team Captains, where best effort will be made so that 4 teams are as balanced as possible.
· Once the team allocation is done, players are to make payment to their respective Team Captains 3 weeks before the competition date. The purpose of doing this is to prevent players from piloting the game and facilitate the organization of the competition.
· Each Team captain will help to consolidate and collect the registration fees from their players before passing it to the organizer.
· Team captains will meet up with the Tournament organizer 2 weeks before the tournament for briefing on how the tournament will be run.
Things to take note
· All 4 team captains will need to nominate/contribute 2 players from their team as referee representative who will be assigned to officiate 1 of the match.
· The nominated referee rep will be set to miss 1 of their team's game during the period when they are assigned to fulfill their refereeing duty (e.g. When Team A & Team B is playing, someone from Team C/D will be the referee).
· Referee rep however will get to enjoy discounted rates for this tournament as a token of appreciation from the organizing committee for helping out with the refereeing duties.
· Registration fee structure are as such. $5 for player, $2 for player-cum-referee representative.
· Team captain are to ensure that the players they had nominated for the Referee Reps are not being forced into this role and that they are agreeable to it
